The Challenge
Midwest Realty Group managed 12 residential and commercial properties across the Kansas City metro. Each property had different, incompatible security systems—some with physical keys, others with outdated access codes. Property managers spent hours driving between locations to change locks after tenant turnover, and security incidents were difficult to investigate due to poor or non-existent video coverage.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a unified security system across all properties featuring smart electronic locks with mobile access, IP-based video surveillance with cloud backup, a centralized management dashboard accessible from any device, and network infrastructure to support all security devices. Each property was connected to a central monitoring platform, allowing managers to grant or revoke access remotely and review security footage from anywhere.
Implementation
We rolled out the solution over six weeks, prioritizing properties with the most urgent security needs. Each installation included new network infrastructure, access control hardware, and camera systems. We provided comprehensive training for all property managers and created documentation for common tasks like adding new tenants or reviewing footage.
